Bondapara in Kamrup gets a taste of NEUFC Grassroots

February 7, 2017

NorthEast United FC successfully conducted a Grassroots Festival Camp at the Bondapara village grounds in Boko of Kamrup district, Assam on Sunday.

The camp saw a turnout of over 160 young children who came to partake in the festive football environment, while also for the opportunity to be selected to the Reliance Foundation Young Champs program.

Participants traveled distances of almost 25 – 30 kilometers from Boko to be part of the camp, braving the hot sun and early hours on a Sunday. The highlight of the camp was the participation of 15 girls who came to showcase their skills, and in turn provided us a glimpse of a buoyant future for the club’s Women’s football development programs.

The passion and enthusiasm of the participants was both superlative and inspiring, and we will certainly look forward to continuing the trend of organizing football programs in Boko in the future as well.

NEUFC thanks Kamrupa Football Coaching Centre for their kind and generous support in organizing the camp.
