August 13, 2017

Len is an exciting prospect as we look ahead to the 17-18 season. Capable of playing both as a winger or an inverted striker, the Manipuri returns to NEUFC with stints at Bengaluru FC and Delhi Dynamos FC under his belt.
With pace to burn and a bag of tricks up his sleeve, "Len" will offer cutting edge upfront. Fans would remember his stunning goal against Chennaiyin FC in Season 1 and we hope he produces more cracking finishes this season.

Intelligent, assured and a Coach's player, Reagan returns to the Highlanders following his earlier 2 season stint.
With the rare ability of being able to play on both the left and right, the full-back has been one of the most consistent performers over the last two seasons. A graduate of the famous Royal Wahingdoh batch that won hearts with their sublime performances in the I-League, Regan Singh can be called upon to be what he is as a professional: Solid and dependable!

Puia is widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted mid-fielders in the North-East. Possessing quick feet, the ability to dribble and the vision to pick out a pass, Fanai returns to the Highlanders for the 2017-18 season.
A graduate of the famed Pune FC academy, "Puia" will be an asset to #NEUFC in the middle of the park given his versatility which allows him to play on the flanks as well. Drawing praise from managers like David Platt and Nelo Vingada, the Lunglei born talent has an opportunity to stamp his presence this season.

Registered as a young teenager by Army Boys Shillong Academy, Manipur born attacking midfielder Sushil Meitei’s journey began as a professional footballer. An attack-minded midfielder, Sushil possesses exceptional skills for his age. He is capable of operating on both flanks, which highlights his versatility as a player.
After a brief stint at Mohun Bagan SAIL Academy, Royal Wahingdoh F.C signed Sushil where he spent five years developing his game play. At the club, he got the opportunity to progress with other promising prospects by participating in multiple tournaments. His performances did not go unnoticed as Jammu & Kashmir based second division I-League club Real Kashmir F.C roped him in.
Sushil is known for his calm and composed playing style coupled with a good game sense and has represented the Indian National Team at U14, U16, U17 and U19 level, securing runners up in SAFF Cup. The 19 year old developmental player will one to watch out for this season.

Halicharan Narzary is a name that needs no introduction to the #NEUFC fans. A regular with the Indian National Team now, Hali is one of the best wingers in the country.
Churning out consistent performances game after game last season, Hali was one of the most hard-working and efficient players over the course of the ISL campaign.
A fan favourite, NEUFC will look to the man from Kokrajhar to inspire with performances on the pitch.

Robert  is a seasoned professional who has been one of the most dependable full-backs from the North-East in his distinguished career.
Last year, Robert lifted the Hero ISL trophy with ATK and formed a formidable partnership with Didika on the left, a theme that carried itself into East Bengal in the I-League.
A product of the famed Tata Football Academy, Robert also has the I League trophy and the Durand Cup in his kitty from his time with Churchill Brothers. A capped Indian International, Robert brings a wealth of experience, astuteness and a winning mentality to the #Highlanders.

Fast, skillful and never one to shy away from hard-work, mid-fielder Malem is one of the few Indian players to have both the I-League, and I-League II Championships in his kitty.
Having recently claimed the I-League II title with NEROCA FC, Meitei also clinched the I-League title with Bengaluru FC in its inaugural season. He has plied his trade for Salgaocar Football Club and Mumbai Football Club in the past and is known to be an industrious and gritty player.
The season 17-18 of the ISL- Indian Super League, will see Meitei move closer to home as he turns out for the Highlanders.

Born in Sarabha village in Ludhiana district, 20 year old defender Gursimrat Gill, who started out at the Chandigarh Football Academy is a wonderboy held in high esteem in the Indian Football Circle.
Having been with the AIFF academy from U16 to U19, winning the U19 I-League title with the AIFF Elite Academy, Gill is known to be nerveless under pressure.
This trait, which makes him stand out from the crowd, was noticed by the scouts of Italian giant, Inter Milan, during the Nike All Asia camp held at Qatar. Gursimrat, who was among the five Indians sent to the camp where players from countries like China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia trained under coaches from Manchester United, Barcelona and Inter Milan, was keenly watched and his performances analysed by the Serie A team’s scouts. In the end, Gursimrat overcame the cut-throat competition and made it to the final XI in the camp, further enhancing his growing reputation.
Then picked by Bengaluru FC amongst a crop of highly talented youngsters including Daniel and Nishu Kumar, Gursimrat has been ear-marked for a rapid rise in the Indian Football ladder.

Lalrindika Ralte, a 24 year old Lunglei born mid-fielder is one of the most talented players to come out of the North-East.
An ISL Champion with ATK last season, Didika as he is popularly known, has several admirers of his wand of a left foot that has produced some stunning strikes over the years. Having captained Kingfisher East Bengal FC on multiple occasions in the I-League last season, Didika brings finesse, creativity and a goal scoring threat to the Highlanders.
Capped by India several times already, this mercurial midfielder will be one to watch out for this season.

Abdul Hakku, a product of the DSK Shivajians Academy is a bright defender cherished by several keen observers of the game down South.

A part of the Fateh Hyderabad back-line that conceded the least amount of goals in I-League 2 last year, Hakku possesses composure and a knack of anticipating danger.

We look forward to a great season ahead with the promising youngster.

Nirmal Chettri returns to NEUFC for the 17-18 ISL- Indian Super League after a solid I-League season with DSK Shivajians.

Growing into the last ISL season with every game, Nirmal is known for his attacking raids on the flanks and his anticipation when it comes to fulfilling defensive duties. A former Indian International, much loved for his performances on the field and his fine work for developing football talent in Sikkim, here's hoping that the Namchi graduate has a fantastic season with us!

TP Rehenesh has now become the only player in the history of NorthEast United FC, to be associated with the Club since the inaugural season of the ISL. The Kerala born shot-stopper has come a long way since in debut in season 1.

Possibly one of the best shot-stoppers in the country, TP Rehenesh has been one of the consistent performers for the Highlanders over the previous three seasons. Now a senior member of the team, Rehenesh will look to lead from the back and between the sticks for the upcoming season.

One of the first names on the team-sheet for the Indian National Team, the tall and lanky Borges has seen his stock rise of the last two years. After a great season with NEUFC last year, Borges will be looking to continue from where he left of.

Calm and composed in the middle of the park, Borges also has a good range of passes and a gritty ball winning ability in his locker. This season will be an important one for the Goan as he will look to cement his authority for the Highlanders in the middle of the park.

24 year old goal-keeper, Ravi Kumar is no stranger to the ISL. The tall former India U-23 shot-stopper spent the 2015 season of the ISL with Delhi Dynamos garnering valuable experience.

Ravi started his career in 2010 with the Pailan Arrows and has gone on to represent I-League clubs like Sporting Goa and Minerva Punjab.

Another up and coming goal-keeper from Punjab, 24 year Gurpreet has plied his trade for Dempo SC and has been a part of the FC Goa setup. He will be looking at ISL-4 as an opportunity to show his mettle.
